There will come a day when I won't care if I see you around, smiling and in love, in the arms of another. No, I won't care. I won't care. But until that day comes, won't you please fill up my cup. There will come a day when I won't care if my friend borrows fifty bucks and never repays me. No, I won't care. I wont care. There will come a day when I won't care if we get lost on the way to the punk rock show and end up at Home Depot. No, I won't care. I won't care. There will come a day when I won't care if we still play the same old stupid songs just 'cause our friends like them. No, I won't care. I won't care. And on that day, when I don't care, I will be dead and lookin' so sharp and all of my troubles will float away. They'll float away. But until that day comes, won't you please fill up my cup. Yeah, until I'm dead, I will have a full cup.

I ain't never had no ring to pawn. Ain't got no pictures that I can burn. I guess they never stay that long. And I guess I'll just never learn. Can't ever seem to help but fall too fast. Can't ever seem to stop just 'cause it hurts. Still repeatin' mistakes from my past. 'Cause I can't reckon how to shake this curse. 'Cause baby I know you're a bad idea. Trust me, I've been down this road before. I know your intentions are sincere. I just don't wanna do this anymore. But now I feel myself fallin' fast. And I ain't gonna stop just 'cause it hurts. I'll repeat this mistake from my past. 'Cause I can't reckon how to shake this curse. But I know I won't get no ring to pawn. Won't have no pictures that I can burn. 'Cause baby I know you won't stay that long. And I guess I'll just never learn.
Track Name: Bridge Song
I took you to the bridge that night, the one that connected our hearts. Said, “Let's stay here and watch the lights as they dance on the waters below us.” But, uneasy, you leaned o'er the ledge, sayin', “Baby, there's doubts in my head.” Your self-immolation burned through the planks and we tumbled into the alone. Oh mercy, mercy, mercy me. How I try and I try to see what I was supposed to be. Oh what, oh what did you need? I sank towards the bed of the river that night, the one that swallowed our love. Said, “Why bother to swim towards the light? This water's just too cold without you.” But you surfaced and filled your lungs, sayin', “Baby, what's done is done.” Your self-righteous fire burned the damn river dry and I was left with nowhere to drown. Oh mercy, mercy, mercy me. How I try and I try to see what is left for me now that I'm not what you need. Now I find you on that bridge tonight, the one that connected our hearts. “Swear I just came here to watch the lights as they die in the nothin' below me.” But the fearsome clang of your voice forges new planks and shining steel joists. And you say, “I burned brighter with you by my side,” and we tumble into the unknown. Oh have mercy, mercy on me as I try and I try to see if we were meant to be. Oh what, oh what do I need?

We are the kids who deal in porches and basements, late night phone calls and last minute arrangements. But we got a song and we're itchin' to play it, so sing with us eight feet below the pavement. We are so much more than the sum of our parts. With a fire in our guts and a song in our hearts. And we sing whoa-oh... Drive through the night with bench seats for a bed. Need gas, smokes, and food, buy a half-rack instead. But your arms around us and the blood that was shed make your floor feel like home under my spinning head. We came from nothin' and soon we'll just be ghosts, but right now our family is the whole damn west coast. Raise your voice and glass and join us in a toast 'cause you bastards are the ones who we love the most.
Track Name: Dancecard
Well, I'm so drunk that I can't see more than a foot in front of me and we know it's time to go 'cause they're askin' us to leave. In this barroom's amber hue, there's just one thing left to do. Our song's still playing on the juke and I've just gotta dance with you. Ain't got any nickels left to spend, so even though we know this is the end, you're all I need. Baby, stay and dance with me. I'm gettin' drunk so I won't see what is right in front of me. You can tell me you won't go, but we both know you wanna leave. And though you're glancin' towards the door, I can tell you aren't sure, so take my arm and we will find our answers out on the dancefloor. I'm not sure we can handle being friends, so even though this probably is the end, you're all I need. Baby, stay and dance with me. There are days when I can't see exactly what you see in me. Still can't admit I'd fall apart if I had to watch you leave. You light my cigarette and ask to just forget about the past, but tomorrow is a plan you've never been able to grasp. We smile and we kiss and we pretend that everything will work out in the end, but you're all I need. Baby, stay and dance with me 'cause you're all I can see. Baby, stay and dance with me.
Track Name: A Round For Two
There are wonders in this world I'll never see and things in this life I'll never be, no, but as I sit here with you and order up a round for two, none of them seem to matter. And as my last cigarette burns away, there are so many things I don't know how to say, no. As we finish up our drinks and it gets harder to think, none of them seem to matter. Why did I used to sit and cry about the missteps that I've taken in my life? Babe, they have led me here tonight and everything will be all right. I know I'll have to work until my dying day and this pain in my back will never go away, no, but as you exhale on my neck and we order up the check, none of that seems to matter. As the morning sun floods into my eyes and I find you've left my side with no goodbyes, no, I will find you've left a note and kiss the page on which you wrote, “Baby, I'll be back later.” You know I'll never make you cry, just hold my hand as I stumble through this life. Babe, if you stay with me tonight, then everything will be all right.
Track Name: Black Water Revival Song
I've heard it said the son of God could walk across the water easier than most folks can walk across the ground, but every time I step out onto the hard-packed soil, it turns to coal-black water and I drown. Ain't never been no Mother Theresa. (No she ain't) There ain't no savior's blood flowin' in these veins. Boy, best believe that if you cross me, your filthy blood will be staining my blade. Ain't got no map for the path of the righteous. (No, she don't) Ain't never seen no sense in repentin' all my sins 'cause sure as the sun sets and rises, Lord knows that I'm gonna sin again. Now, I don't believe the son of God could walk across the water, though folks believe as easy as they walk across the ground. My faith lies in little more than suffering and toil. I'm sure, just like the rest of us, he'd drown.
Track Name: Miss You
I don't miss being young, 'cause I've never known innocence. Don't miss the recreational drugs or first loves without recompense. And I don't miss all the stupid things that I used to do, but I miss you. And I don't miss my hometown, that backwards labyrinth of dead-end streets. Don't miss the fear I'd never get out or the stagnant stench of entropy. And I don't miss the way we were, the shifting sands underneath our foundation. Don't miss the ways I let you down. I've always been a slave to vice and temptation. And I don't miss all the stupid things that I put you through, but I miss you. No, I don't miss all the stupid things that I still may do, but I miss you. No, I won't miss all the stupid things I'm still gonna do, but I miss you.
Track Name: Lone Gunman
These lonely nights, they never really hit me 'til I saw, I saw that picture flauntin' bright and better times. Now, all I have are these six strings and a broken hand and this melody of hollow hearts and crimes. Play back the tape, I think I see a second gunman posed to fire, aiming low, his target in his sights. But he's no match for me as I laid you in my crosshairs. I squeezed that trigger and bid you one last goodnight. Now all I hear is the screaming and this ringing in my ears and my hands shake so hard that I spill my shot of rye. And I pray, “Dear God, just grant me one easy day, one moment of peace before I die.”
Track Name: Settlin' Blues
You shake the fruit from off my tree. Dig up my roots on dirty knees. The flesh is willing, but the spirit's so weak. I'll find what I seek, but 'til then I'm makin' my way back home to you whether it's right or wrong. You cast your anchor into my sea. You whisper sweetly, “I'm what you need.” I'm moving slowly through borrowed sand with bloody side and holes in my hands. The flesh is willing, but the spirit's so weak. You'll be the death of me, but till then I'm makin' my way back home to you whether it's right or wrong.
Track Name: My Turn
My fingers dig like roots into the black, Oregon dirt in which you rest. Stains my dress like sin stained my heart when my lips partook of your final breath. And I'm still waiting for my turn to come around. I'm still waiting to join you in the ground. It has been a full fortnight since I came to lie here beneath your stone. The stars denied us our chapel bells, 'stead this shallow plot is now our sweet home. That dreadful night, I never meant you harm. I'm haunted now by your pale face. I held you so tightly in my arms deliverin' you o'er to death's embrace. And I'm still waiting for my turn to come around. And I deserve, love, to join you in the ground.
Track Name: Stumble Home
Sittin' on a barstool, drunk as the day is long. The Clash on the jukebox and I'm singing along. I've been here since noon and I really should go, but how do you pick yourself up when you're so low? And I don't know what tomorrow will bring, and I don't care. Because I know you won't be there when I stumble home. Sittin' on the waterfront, smokin' like a locomotive. Wishin' you were here, but questioning my motives, (my shady motives). I got work in the morning and I really should go, (go home), but how do you pick yourself up when you're so low? Sittin' in my room, staring at my cell phone, resigning myself to another night alone.
Track Name: Finisterre
There's a storm where my heart should be. There's a fine line between foolishness and bravery. With one good kiss, you'll be swept out to sea and you'll never be heard from again. If we don't go now, you know we never will. The ends of the Earth are not far enough still. I've an ache in my bones and I thirst for the thrill when we'll fall off the edge of this map. I can feel the salt spray on my face, the deck swayin' 'lo my feet when I'm in your embrace. You need only ask me to leave this tired place and we'll never be heard from again. The red sky reflects in your eyes, weaves an old sailor's yarn of untimely demise. We'll drown in the the tears that our mommas will cry for they never will see us again.
